Speyside, Scotland- Intense with a warm palate of nutmeg, cinnamon and white pepper and other spices on a base of cereal, malt and baked fruit and almonds. Finish is medium-length.

Named for our country’s founding fathers, Taconic Distillery’s Founder’s Rye Whiskey is aged in virgin American white oak barrels to a golden caramel color. Rye lovers will appreciate its bold, spicy flavor with a mildly sweet finish. Delicious in cocktails and decidedly smooth when sipped neat or on the rocks.

Each cask has been hand-selected based on its unique appearance, smell and flavor. The casks have then been paired with a complementary wine or port finish, giving each dram its own special character.

Perfect for classic cocktailing, the signature sweetness of this whiskey is a perfect compliment for many per-Prohibition cocktail recipes that were invented when rye whiskey was king.

Aromas of pear and heather, with resin, malt and wood notes. Medium bodied. Well balanced palate with a smooth mouthfeel. Finishes short with some lingering sweet smoke in the attractive, drying aftertaste.
